Samantha Chapman

Samantha Chapman is the Transportation Market Leader – Tasmania for GHD specialising in facilitating delivery of transport connectivity projects that support Tasmania’s growth and prosperity. At her time at GHD since 2016, Sam has delivered a range of unique projects and is part of a core team leading GHD’s global Future Communities initiative, Strategy to Street, a critical projects bringing the benefits of integrated planning to unlock urban opportunities for communities.

Sam is passionate about bringing her experience to work together with industry, delivering sustainable projects that achieve positive, lasting outcomes for the Tasmanian community. As the 2022 Tasmanian Young Engineer of the Year and representative for Young Engineers on Engineers Australia’s National Committee and Shadow Board, Sam is an active part of the Tasmanian engineering community. Sam has a keen interest in how we across industry, academia, public and private sector continue to support skill development needed in industry to continue to service the needs of our state and provide innovative, sustainable solutions.
